Geoff Hobbs led over 50 island volunteers that included family members of the Flemings, Mills, Gibbs, Marshalls, Pages, Burgess’, Jones, Bottens, Nossals, Rose’, Colemans, Barrys, Tuckers, Beverage/Hobbs, McReynolds, Humphrys, Walters, Cains, Holtoms, Rothwells, Renfrews, Higgs, Beehlers, Mullers, Beattys, Moore/Ottenhofs, Halls, Edmisons, Wallace/Nichols, Vincents, Kanes, Marsh’, McDonalds, Mohrs and with apologies to others who might have been missed.
There are ‘beverages-of-choice’ as some travellers have preferences as the containers of certain brands of refreshments, many returnable for $$, are tossed in the ditches. A large pile of brown shingles, dumped on the Lower Sideroad, remains after being reported to the Township in the fall of 2008. Larger items were picked up once Geoff was advised.
All-in-all, a terrific effort…thank you everyone…
